Teaching

Doug has taught over 100 workshops on design and forge practices for schools, colleges, universities and blacksmithing organizations including Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Penland School of Crafts, Colby College, and Massachusetts College of Art.

He is available for workshops, lectures and demonstrations throughout the world. Compensation is flexible but averages $350 per day plus materials and travel. Classes may be arranged in Doug’s forge for small groups.
